...Welcome, Failte!
Tulach Gorm - Gaelic for small green hill - is a spacious bungalow in a scenic setting in the village of Valtos on the east side of the Trotternish Peninsula on the Isle of Skye. This part of Skye is renowned for its interesting rock formations amongst them the The Storr, the Kilt Rock and the Quiraing, all of which can be viewed from the house.

The area is an ideal base for hill walking, bird
watching and boat trips. The ferry terminal at Uig is only a 30
min. drive away and a day trip to the Western Isles on a pleasant
summer's day is a memorable experience for many
of our
guests.

This area of Skye
remains an active crofting community and indeed Tulach Gorm is
situated on croft land which has been in our family for
generations. It is a peaceful setting where on a calm
summer's evening you can relax and listen
to the sounds of nature as you watch the sun set over the hills.
What better way to escape the hectic pace of modern
life!
